When Daniel interceded an angel of the Lord was immediately dispatched in response to his prayer, but a fallen angel known as the king of Persia withstood him for twenty-one days. The answer to Daniel’s prayer was delayed until that evil angel—what Paul refers to as “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ehp. 6:12)—was cast down. That same type of spiritual conflict is engaged when we intercede and we must press through until victory comes.

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”

— 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NIV)

Lord Jesus demolish every stronghold that resists the coming of Your kingdom. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
