Joseph’s own brothers sold him into slavery. Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him of sexual assault and he was sent to prison. While in prison he befriended the king’s official cupbearer who promised to intercede for him when he was released. “The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him (Gen 40:23). Given his bitter experiences it would have been easy for Joseph to give up, but he didn’t. Instead he remembered his dreams. What about you? Have you given up or are you trusting God to do what He has promised to do?
