Regarding Jesus being the promised Messiah, the Son of the living God and the savior of mankind there is no evidence more convincing than the fulfilled prophecies. The Bible contains 109 Messianic prophecies all recorded at least 600 years before Jesus was born. Some of them are dated as early as 1500 years before his birth. These prophecies are far ranging, dealing with both the momentous and the mundane. They range from His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14), to the place of His birth (Micah 5:2), to a description of His earthly ministry (Isaiah 61:1, 2), to His betrayal (Psalm 41:9 and Luke 22:47, 48), and death (Deuteronomy 21:22-23, Galatians 3:13 and Zechariah 13:6).
