When you become a believer your absolute allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ and Him alone. You must renounce all other loyalties, burn them to ashes, and live only for Him. That’s what it means to truly follow Christ. That’s what He requires but once that issue is settled you will have the strength to do whatever is required of you regardless of the cost.
