Moses should have been put to death at birth, but his parents defied the King’s decree and spared his life. When it was no longer possible for them to hide him, they put him in a papyrus basket and placed it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile where Pharaoh’s daughter found him. She felt sorry for him and adopted him as her own son (see Exodus 2). As a result, “Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians” (Acts 7:22) preparing him to be the deliverer of Israel.

“The LORD will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.”

— Psalm 138:8 (NLT)

Lord give us eyes to see Your fingerprints all over our lives. Amen.
