For the past few days we have been looking at six critical factors in decision making. 1) Never violate your core values. 2) Develop a clear vision. 3) Correctly interpret the critical data. 4) Consider feedback from those you trust. 5) Allocate your resources wisely. 6) Timing. Today I want us to consider a seventh factor—trust your instincts. Often the critical data is inconclusive, and the decision comes down to your instincts what I call a “gut feeling.” Only a fool would make decisions based on a gut feeling alone but it is equally true that only a fool would ignore his gut feelings. When all the other factors are equal trust your instincts!
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit.”
— Romans 8:16 (NKJV)
Lord, direct our decisions by the witness of Your Spirit. Amen.
