The most common way God reveals His wisdom is through the Scriptures. They are filled with practical truths warning us against co-signing a note (Proverbs 11:15), idleness (Proverbs 6:10, 11), reckless words (Proverbs 13:3), selfishness (Proverbs 11:24,25), dishonesty in business (Proverbs 13:11), and foolish companions (Proverbs 13:20), to name just a few. They also provide great principles, which become the core values that govern our lives. Principles like: “… ‘seek first his [God’s] kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Or, “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my [Jesus’] sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39).

Hide the Word of God in your heart and you will never lack wisdom.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.”

— Proverbs 3:4 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, help me to live in Your Word all the days of my life. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
