According to the apostle Paul, “[Jesus] is “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). He goes on to say, “For by him [Jesus] all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:16-17). He concludes: “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form…who is the head over every power and authority” (Colossians 2:9-10).
“‘But what about you?’ [Jesus] asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are Christ, the Son of the living God.’”
— Matthew 16:15-16 (NIV 1984)
Lord Jesus, we believe You are the Son the living God. Help us to believe more. Amen.
