Anyone who has been betrayed knows well what C.S. Lewis was writing about when he wrote, “Why is He (God) so present…in our time of prosperity and so very absent…in time of trouble.” Those who have been betrayed weep in the night. They feel abandoned by God when they need Him most and a horrible feeling it is. But God has not abandoned you! As surely as He was with Joseph in Pharoah’s dungeon, so He is with you, and He will deliver you.
“But God was with him (Joseph) and delivered him out of all his troubles.”
— Acts 7:9-10 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, be very near to those who have been betrayed. Heal their hurts and restore their hope. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
