While attending his class reunion Tommy was reunited with an old friend who had moved away. During the course of their conversation Tommy learned that his friend’s father (now in his eighties) was still living in the Shreveport area but had no family nearby. Tommy immediately promised to check on him every week and made himself available in case of any kind of emergency.
Now that’s the Church! No organized program to care for the elderly, just a caring man seeing a need and doing what he could to meet it.

Lord Jesus, help me to reach out to those who need a helping hand even if nobody see or nobody knows what I am doing. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
