When it comes to divine healing, I will admit my faith is never what I would like it to be. Yet that didn’t seem to hinder the Lord when it came to the people who were healed, so why should it be the deciding factor when those I pray for aren’t healed? Faith is a factor to be sure, but not necessarily the deciding factor. There are other forces at work here, things like the sovereignty of God. More and more I am forced to concede that we only know in part, that “we see through a glass, darkly” (1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV).

“Those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”

— 1 Peter 4:19 (NIV 1984)

Lord teach us to trust You even when we don’t understand. Amen.
