This past week, I read an announcement from a high-ranking government official who declared that he had a plan for righting all that is wrong with the country. If his plan was implemented it would expand the economy, solve unemployment, balance the national budget and reduce the national debt. He went on to say his plan would also end systemic racism and produce a moral regeneration in our nation.
Does that sound too good to be true? That’s what I thought. In fact, I would not have given it a second thought except the name of that high-ranking government official was King Solomon and his plan is outlined in 2 Chr. 7:14.
“If my people…will humble themselves and pray…and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Lord we humble ourselves and repent. Forgive us and heal our land. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
