The security of our salvation rests on the finished work of Jesus Christ alone. The proof of our salvation is our godly life and Christian service, but good works and Christian service can never save us. We are saved by grace through faith and by that alone. Salvation is based on what Jesus has done for us, but our eternal reward is based on what we do for Him.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. That’s Ephesians 2:10 (NIV).

Lord Jesus help us to do the work You have called us to do but to trust only in Your finished work for our salvation. Amen.
