God often uses the enemy’s evil devises to advance the cause of Christ. When the authorities imprisoned Paul, they thought they had rid themselves of him. Not hardly. Paul led his jailors and members of Caesar’s household to the Lord and wrote much of the New Testament while incarcerated! He writes, “I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel” (Philippians 1:12). You may not be able to see it now, but you may be assured that God is going to use what’s happening to you to advance His kingdom.
“The important thing is that in every way…Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice.”
— Philippians 1:18 (NIV 1984)
Lord, we surrender our lives to You that in every way Christ may be proclaimed. Amen.
