Owen Carr identifies five laws of the harvest. 1) Nothing happens until the seed is planted. 2) Where you plant the seed is critical. 3) What you plant is what you harvest. 4) Planting and harvesting happen in two different seasons. 5) You always harvest more than you plant. Whatever your need, plant that seed. If you need friendship show yourself friendly. If you need encouragement encourage someone else. If you have a financial need, give a financial gift.
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower… will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion…”
— 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, help us to understand the laws of the harvest so we can bless others. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
