Moses failed miserably the first time he attempted to deliver the Israelites because he did nothing to prepare the people. He simply assumed they would realize that God had sent him to rescue them, but they didn’t (Acts 7:25). Forty years later Moses handled things differently. This time he went to great lengths to prepare the people for what God was about to do. Exodus 4:29-31 says:
“Then Moses and Aaron returned to Egypt and called all the elders of Israel together. Aaron told them everything the Lord had told Moses, and Moses performed the miraculous signs as they watched. Then the people of Israel were convinced that the Lord had sent Moses and Aaron.”

Lord, help us to prepare Your people for what You are about to do. Amen.
