In yesterday’s devotion I told you how a thought sprang full-blown into my mind directing me to pray for a woman. When I prayed for her she was instantly healed. So how did I determine if my random thought was a prompting from the Holy Spirit or just my overactive imagination? There was no way I could be absolutely sure, but there were some clues that helped me decide. Join me again tomorrow and we will consider some of those clues.

Lord Jesus, make me sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Give me the faith to act even when I am not absolutely sure if it is the prompting of the Holy Spirit or my overactive imagination. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
