If you are like me, you probably pay lip service to eternal things—God, marriage, and family—while paying life service to temporal things. As a consequence, I often bring only the dregs that are left to life’s really important matters. If that sounds familiar join me in asking the Lord to give us wisdom to differentiate between the urgent and the eternal; to help us invest our lives in the things that really matter rather than allowing the pressures of life to distract us.
