The first group of people the leader has to deal with are the VIPs—the very important people. They are today’s leaders, and they help the primary leader accomplish his goals. By and large they are self-sufficient people who require little of the leader other than direction, plus his respect and trust. From them he often receives strength and encouragement. A great example of these kind of people are the apostle Paul’s co-workers Priscilla and Aquila.

“Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.”

— Romans 16:3-4 (NKJV)

Lord, we give You thanks for the special people in our lives. Amen.
