Life on our troubled planet is often stormy and how we respond to its inevitable storms will determine the quality of our life and our destiny. The apostle’s advice to his shipmates when they were caught in a life-threatening storm provides wise counsel for all of us. 1) Stay with the ship (Acts 27:31). 2) Get rid of all excess baggage (Acts 27:18, 19, 38). 3) Pray (Acts 27:29). 4) Don’t lose heart. Keep up your courage (Acts 27:25). Remember, God is greater than any storm you will ever face.

Lord Jesus, give us courage to face whatever life brings and faith to believe that You will enable us to overcome every storm. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
