What are you feeling right this moment? Excited or anxious? Peace or anxiety? Stimulated or bored? Now examine your thoughts. What are you thinking? If you are on your way to get a root canal you are probably feeling anxious. If you are contemplating a long weekend at some restful place in the country, you are probably feeling relaxed. I could continue but I’m sure you get the point. Control your thinking and you will control your emotions. Isaiah 26:3 says,
“[God] will keep in perfect peace
— Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
all who trust in [Him],
all whose thoughts are fixed on [Him]!”
Lord help us to replace our negative, fearful thoughts with positive faith filled thoughts. In your holy name we pray. Amen.
