Attempting to define faith is a little like asking a blind man to describe an elephant. If he takes hold of the elephant’s trunk, he may describe an elephant as a huge snake. If he takes hold of the elephant’s tail, he may think an elephant resembles a rope. If he wraps his arms around the elephant’s huge leg, he might describe him as a tree. Each description is accurate but incomplete. So it is when we try to define faith. Most times our attempts are accurate as far as they go but faith is too complex to be defined by a single statement.

“Without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Lord Jesus increase our faith so we can trust You more. Amen.
