God seldom makes His will known simply to satisfy our curiosity. More often than not, His word comes as marching orders to the fully committed. That being the case, the first order of business is the unconditional surrender of our lives. Like Jesus in Gethsemane we pray, “…not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). Having surrendered ourselves to the plans and purposes of Christ, we can be confident that the Holy Spirit will guide us. We do not have to find the will of God. It will find us!
“The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me.”
— Psalm 138:8
Lord Jesus, I bring all my hopes and dreams and surrender them to You. Make Your will known to me that I may walk in obedience to Your plan for my life. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
