There are times during intercessory prayer when God’s holy presence descends upon us, and prayer takes on a life of its own. We are shut in with God and time becomes irrelevant. We pray for extended periods of time and with passionate energy. Outside interests grow dim and we are deeply concerned about the things that concern the Father. That kind of Spirit-directed, Spirit-birthed intercession is the result of concerned believers who are willing to make an unconditional commitment to intercessory prayer regardless of whether they feel like praying or not.
