Jesus defeated death when he rose from the grave, but He has not yet destroyed it. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 says, “He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.” Until He destroys death we will have to contend with sickness and disease. Maybe you or someone you love is fighting for their life right now. I can identify with you. My wife is battling uterine cancer. Several times each day we pray for her healing, but we only put our hope in Jesus Christ and in Him alone.

Lord, strengthen our faith that we may trust you whatever the outcome. Amen.
