When I opened my Bible this morning, I saw a note I had written to myself on the flyleaf: “What would you tell someone about Jesus?” As I pondered that question a host of thoughts ran through my mind. First and foremost, I would tell them that Jesus is humanity’s only savior. I would tell them there is only one way to salvation and that one way is through faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ! There are at least one hundred verses of Scripture that affirm this truth. For instance Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
— John 14:6 (NLT)
Lord Jesus, give us the courage to boldly declare that You are the only savior. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
