Jesus said, “If I, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet” (John 13:14 NEB). Of course, He wasn’t just talking about washing feet but living a life of selfless service. He was encouraging us to give ourselves in loving service to others, in all ways, in even the most menial ways, especially if we can do it without drawing attention to ourselves. “…and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matt. 6:18).
“If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment.”

Lord Jesus, help us to follow your example and serve one another in all ways great or small. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
