You may be in the midst of a storm right now or about to be hit by one, but you don’t have to panic. Like the Psalmist, you can say, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…” (Psalm 46:1–2). Sometimes the Lord calms the storm, but even if the storm continues to rage, He calms us. He shelters us in His hand and grants us peace in the midst of the storm.
“I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand.”
— Exodus 33:22 (NLT)
Lord Jesus, protect us from the storm. Put us in the cleft of the rock and cover us with Your hand of protection. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
