Yesterday I urged you to pray God-centered prayers, rather than need-centered prayers. Once you are centered in God’s past faithfulness, once you have strengthened your faith by focusing on His goodness, you can pray boldly, approaching his throne of grace with confidence. Make your needs known. Pray specifically and pray boldly. God is able to do more than you can ask or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Get ready. He is about to open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing you can’t contain (Malachi 3:20)!
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
— Hebrews 4:16 (NIV 1984)
Lord Jesus, we are facing impossible situations. You are our only hope. Intervene on our behalf. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
