One of the first miracles Elisha performed was to purify a town’s water supply. According to the townspeople the water was bad causing women to miscarry and the land to be unproductive. To their way of thinking it was good for nothing. “Bring me a new bowl,” Elisha said, “and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying:
“This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”

Lord Jesus many of us have allowed bitterness to poison our spirits. Heal us I pray as You healed this poison well. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
